Dr. Amber Christie
Dr. Christie’s areas of expertise span across various disciplines, including internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and preventive care. She is particularly renowned for her medical diagnostic skills and enjoys the challenges that her medical patients bring. Her career has also seen her work span across the globe, working in the UK, Europe, South Africa, Thailand and of course here in Oz. She has worked with most species of animals, including a stint in South Africa working with wildlife and learning to dart wild animals from helicopters. It’s been an exciting journey now she continues to bring this passion and enthusiasm for veterinary care to Tewantin and its surroundings.
Beyond her clinical duties, Amber is keen to be out and about enjoying life outdoors with her family and friends. She loves eating out or cooking at home to enjoy around the dining table. Dinner parties can get loud! She is kept busy with her two young children and you will see them all in the clinic at times when the demands of being a working mum mean having kids at work is the new normal. Amber loves the challenges running a business can bring and she can’t wait to meet you and your fluffy pets in the clinic.

My goal is to create a comforting and nurturing environment for pets, their owners and my team, fostering trust and confidence in our clinic. As a fresh business owner, I look forward to the journey of learning and growth. Filled with rewarding moments and making a positive impact to our community.
In 2019 my family and I sold up and travelled Aus in our caravan. After spending some time on the coast and falling madly in love with the lifestyle we decided to stay put. When not at work, you can find me with my two boys and hubby enjoying time in the sunshine at the beach or watching the kiddos on any type of board! Lucy and Buttercup, our two pet chickens also hold a very special place within our family.

Brooke Goodwin
Hey, I’m Brooke, a dedicated and compassionate Practice Manager and Senior Veterinary Nurse with 15 years of experience in providing top-notch care to our furry friends. My journey in veterinary medicine began with a deep love for animals and a desire to make a difference in their lives. I started Vet Nursing after completing year 12 with a traineeship at a privately owned small animal clinic in South Australia. It is here where I discovered the importance of a solid leadership team and support through training and guidance from knowledgeable team members.

Zara
Zara developed a fondness for the Sunshine Coast during a three-month journey along the coastline in 2018. This sparked numerous holidays there, eventually leading her to relocate from Adelaide in June 2024. She quickly became a valued member of the Neighbourhood Vet team. Outside of work, she enjoys beach outings, running with her dog, and exploring the coastal region whenever possible.
Charmayne
Charmayne has completed a Bachelor in Animal Ecology at the University of the Sunshine Coast and is currently completing a Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing. She has been nursing between general practice and emergency since 2020, and through this has found a deep love for Veterinary Nursing and up-keeping a high standard of patient
care.
Charmayne enjoys all aspects of the job but is particularly fond of critical patient cases. “It is super rewarding when a patient presents in a critical state and then eventually gets to go home to their family. It’s showing all your hard work and dedication to their recovery pay off”.
When Charmayne’s not at the clinic you can find her at a coffee shop with her rescue cat ‘Rudy’ or scuba diving off Mooloolaba. She looks forward to meeting all of Tewantin’s friendly faces.
